Your goal in Math Mountain is to climb the mountain faster than your opponent (either human or computer) by answering simple math questions. You are allocated IQ points for correct answers. Bonus IQ points are awarded for answering in less than 10 seconds. Each turn moves you up 1, 2, or 3 paces for correct answers (or backward that many for incorrect answers). Note: See below game for instructions and tips.
Instructions: As you proceed up the mountain, you’ll see math questions posed on the calculator, with possible answers displayed below. Click the correct answer as quickly as you can in order to climb faster than your opponent. As you advance, the number of possible answers will increase. You’ll also have the opportunity to use powerups to slow down (or stop) the computer for 10 seconds, cut your choices to 50/50, get a second chance when you answer wrong, or double your answer value.
Walkinator is an addictive design tool game that allows you to design an online robot that walks. Use the various functions to create “feet.” Then add bones and muscles to make your robot walk. If you’ve designed it well enough, you’ll see it walking to the right. If not… well, a quivering mass of bones and muscles can be chalked up as a “learning experience” and you can try again. Note: See below game for instructions and tips.
Instructions: Start out with the Node tool to create “feet” and anchor points for your robot. Next, create bones to connect the nodes together. Bones are rigid, and cannot be controlled by your robot. Finally, create muscles to connect the nodes so that it can move. Muscles can expand and contract to move your robot’s feet. In general, it’s best to start small until you get the hang of designing. Then add more and more nodes and bones until you get something that moves efficiently.
Scientists have discovered that our own alphabet is the result of an alien plot to take over the world! “Letter bombs” have been falling all over the globe, devouring cities along the way. Super typists have been sought to protect our planet. Sadly, your own city’s greatest typist has come down with a case of carpal tunnel syndrome, and the protection of the city has fallen to… YOU! Note: See below game for instructions and tips.
Instructions: Type the letters and numbers on the bombs as they fall in order to detonate them. Spacebar activates super bomb that destroys all enemies on the screen.
In Air Invaders, your job is to help Dave Lennox destroy the bad air monsters coming from the home’s air ducts before time runs out. And if you think that sounds silly, you’re right. Anyway, the monsters are using a shield of air particles. You’ll need to blast through it before you can zap the monsters. Note: See below game for instructions and tips.
Instructions: Use the mouse to aim and fire. There are four levels of monsters, with three rooms each, and as you probably guessed, each level is harder than the last. Good luck!
